new york city as a whole is one of the safer cities in the country, and that doesn't even get into the fact that the place people spend most of their time (lower manhattan) is safer than the most dangerous parts of the city by a huge amount.

new york also probably has the best collection of top private schools in the country, as well as some amazing public schools (though those are hard for non-genius kids to get into)

I didn't make the OOT thread, I just responded to the guy who spent like half a million on a horrific ugly slum condo in NYC and he thought he was getting a good deal.

I've never been to NYC, why would I want to go to that hellhole? Its obvious the citizens there are all deranged for thinking its such a wonderful place to live. Hell the whole state sucks, its government is the worst, taxes are abusive, schools are terrible, the list is endless.

But hey if you wana spend half a million on a slum place to live in a city likely to be destroyed soon.. well have fun.
