Re: MY FAVOURITE GAME - THE CARDIGANS
[ QUOTE ]
um bobbo, a raise here does not signify "AK with a twinge of AJ". but i never agree with you so idk what im trying to convince you of. [/ QUOTE ] j, if i donk into you in this hand. you raise me. what hand are you repping? if you're not repping "an ace", then you're repping 45 (air) AA/KJ (nuts). No? Yes, it's viable option to smooth call AJ or AK here. I'd raise both though against most opponents on this board. I dont know what you're trying to convince me of either? You're saying the PFR should rarely raise this flop if donked into, i suppose. I disagree with that, as well. If you had A7 OOP here, is B3B all in a viable play, given villain is never raising AK/AJ here? I think it's the best play then. |

Re: MY FAVOURITE GAME - THE CARDIGANS
I don't think jfish is looking for a justification as to why raising AK or AJ there could be a good play.
He's simply pointing out that in the games that he plays in, a raise does not *represent* AK. |

Re: MY FAVOURITE GAME - THE CARDIGANS

Re: MY FAVOURITE GAME - THE CARDIGANS
If we are to get action on this hand it is going to come from a small range of holdings. AT-AK,KJ,QT, and sets. We are 55% against this range. I don't see where the raise is a big mistake anywhere.
Take into consideration that this range doesn't include any air he may try to bluff raise shove (stacks are ripe for it) as well it gives equal weight to all hands within range (a major pet peeve of pokerstove). Give less credence to sets (I feel he raises more PF but not always ofcourse. Enough to tourk my %'s though), and I think this is a clear b/c. 120BB deep with top two.....I don't have a problem going broke if necessary here. |

Re: MY FAVOURITE GAME - THE CARDIGANS
I virtually always flat call the flop and I'm surprised that so many think a raise is way better tbh.
