this seems totally rediculous to me that a man could be killed even for agreeing to be involved in a robbery, the thing that gets me fried is that this is only b/c it was an important person's chid

Guy agrees to drive his buddies around to rob people at gunpoint. Ends up resulting in a murder.

Do I think the death penalty is the right punishment here? Maybe not. But I sure don't have much sympathy for this guy.

ya, people should get the death penalty for doing something like this, no matter who the victim is.

I have sympathy in the sense that I don't think he should die.. I thought jail was for rehabilitation, what good does the death penalty for anyone? It doesn't bring the victim back, I don't think the family would feel more vindicated in any sense, it just kills a person who could be living the remainder of his life in jail, extricated from society.. I think that's punishment enough, death seems so final

In theory, the death penalty is not in place for vindication reasons... its in place to deter crime. In theory, the threat the death penalty is worse then the threat of jail time.

personally i don't think he should be killed for this. but, i don't believe in killing anyone for any crime, so my opinion will probably be disregarded by the pro death penalty crowd.

also, there is no denying that our justice system is racist. the color of your skin will always play a part in how you are tried and sentenced in our court system. to think otherwise is simply ignorant.

this guy seems like a pretty worthless human being. he should be locked up.
