Young kids buying large amount of rubbing alcohol/wtf are they up to?

Can anyone confirm or deny this being true? I was always under the impression that isopropyl alcohol will make you go blind, but I can't seem to find any proof of this with google.

I think the blindness stuff is wood alcohol, which is methanol.

This is what google is saying, so I think you're correct. What happens if you drink isopropyl then? Obv can't be good things, or else all sorts of people would be doing it.

It's a long slow poisoning. Alcoholics in the south used to drink Sterno fluid. Enough of it will blind a dude (Canned Heat Blues), but an addiction is a long slow poisoning.
