10 posts/page sux because it's not enough. 99 posts/page also sux because then you have to scroll like a million years to get to the top and the menu. ~25 or so ftw.

You won't last an hour. I remember back when I signed up threaded used to be the default, and I couldn't figure out why anyone would want to read stuff that way once I found flat mode

I sometimes use threaded mode, but only if there are fewer than ten or twelve responses to a post.

there are certain acts of moderating that are only really doable in threaded. aside from that only people so dumb as to have not realized there is a flat mode use threaded.
