Pretty much everything.

This is the correct answer. I started writing a post for this thread and then I figured out that stuff where I DON'T but the cheap stuff is the smaller of the two lists by far.

Better thread might be the common items where the extra money for higher end products are worth it.

Yeah, but aren't you a busto college student? I bank a third of my salary just because I don't feel like spending it.

iron,

I make less then most on these boards, but not so much less that should justify spending 20 cents on mac and cheese when I know that the 80 cent version is significantly better. This doesn't stop me from doing it for some reason though.

Also, higher priced sunglasses tend to protect your eyes better (Polarized, UV protection, etc.)

I call BS on this. $15 sunglasses from any gas station are going to have UV protection that is as good as expensive sunglasses. 100% UV protection is pretty much standard at this point.

I saw an ad at a store that said something like:

"You don't buy the cheapest watch or the cheapest car. Why use a cheap pen." It was a display for some $100 pen.

I think the answer for lots of us would be pens. No one I work with ever uses $100 pens. Then again, we get free pens at work, and people constantly lose them. So why not use the cheap (or free) pens?

One of the best pieces of advice I ever got was "Never skimp on your own a$$". High Quality TP all the way. Paper towels, napkins, cheap is the way to go.
