Re: Big Stacks, Blind vs Blind
No, you need to raise PF here because of how often you take it down PF. I prefer 7500 at this stage which helps with your c). Also, I'm lost on the flop. But since he most likely minraises strong FD's too I think you are good here 1/3rd of the time.

Re: Big Stacks, Blind vs Blind
Once I've bet this flop, I'm not not folding to a minraise. I'm not sure if it's mathematically justified but I'd assume it is given that a lot of his range is not a K/AA and almost never a set of 2s or 6s.
Given the stacks and situation, I'd rather check-shove though though I don't think one line is better than another in a vacuum. |

No, you need to raise PF here because of how often you take it down PF. [/ QUOTE ] That would be a reason to raise any 2 .. but why would you want villain to fold once you have a good hand? Against a random hand we have an equity of 66% I like to complete a lot in the SB. It helps me keep the pot small in a hand where I'm OOP. Especially in a BvB situation, it's so hard to put the BB on a hand - so why build a big pot in the first place? |

Re: Big Stacks, Blind vs Blind
Raising any 2 and calling with the best hands is really exploitable. And, you are playing smaller pots with your best hands and bigger pots with your worst hands.

Re: Big Stacks, Blind vs Blind
Reg,
If I check and he checks behind, I'm not sure I can do anything but try to get to showdown at that point. Other than pairing the board, (or a 7) what's a good turn card? |
