You obviously don't realize what is true in poker is not true in other competitions (ie. poker has a larger element of chance than baseball)

powerrangers - if you really think that's the wrong answer then wow. And you don't understand baseball as well as you think you do.

Would you rather face a pitcher with a full-season ERA of 10.00 who threw a no-hitter the last time he faced you...or would you rather face the league-leader in ERA who you were able to rough-up for 6 runs in 3 innings the last time you faced him?

if my team has beat the best team the last half dozen times we played and we've lost to the worst team that many times, i'd play the best team in a heartbeat. if you think that is incorrect, then you should probably reexamine the differences between baseball and poker. look at it this way: if you have won against phil ivey the last dozen times you've played him, but lost against...i dunno, let's say some random guy a dozen times in a row, you've obviously got something on the pro and something against you on the other guy. the choice is clear.
