I think the meaning of this bet is more dependant on the size of the entry fee more than anything else. Cheap tourny could mean a beginner calling station that hit Q7, K7. More expensive tourny could be a weak blocking bet.

Ansky, I gotta ask, why do you value bet that river? Cause god knows you're better than me at this, and this seems like a river I would check behind all day, every day.

Why wouldn't you value bet this river? The river card was a total blank, and we still have TPTK when our opponent has shown nothing but total weakness. Not raising here sucks balls.

I also read it as a block from something like AQ or KJ that thinks it's behind post turn bet but can't seperate- I've seen a few 22 and KQ here though from the weak tight types figuring you have KK-QQ (I call this weak tight, but it's possible they're smarter than me because it costs my AK and AA dearly)

All in all I'm inclined to call- if it is a block then i don't think a raise gets called very often by a hand we can beat (though i have seen it happen), if it's a post oak well unless this is high buyin with known players i think it's a bad idea online (or otherwise) since folding is not in the discussion, if it's begging for a raise well obviously we don't want to oblige.

moral of the story- i think we're ahead most of the time but there aren't enough players who can call when behind to make betting a good idea imho- call.

but i'm often wrong

I honestly think this is a misclick and he meant to check.

As for what you should do here, if you were going to check behind, call, if you were going to bet, raise. I raise.

I raise this river and would bet it if checked to me. What are we worried we're behind??? This is KJ/KT/QJ every time. Doesn't UTG+1 just have 2100 left on the river? Bet that (or like 5k if I've misread the hand and he has more).

I can't tell if this is a really crappy blocking bet or a please-raise-me-so-I-can-stack-your-dumb-ass bet.
A lot of rivers I'd check behind here (or call the 200 - same thing) but with that river I probably would value bet. What hand did that help? So I bet what I normally would here. Maybe 4K or so?

I know people say results don't matter so don't post them but I'd really like to know what he had here.
