Depends what subjects you chose. I managed a C in AS Level English without reading the books or doing any revision. Thats the great thing about English- there's a simple formula to guarantee you the pass. In terms of Maths, Science ...they are considerably harder. [/ QUOTE ] My english lit. teacher at GCSE said that A level english was really hard. Maybe that was just an excuse though since they didn't teach it at my school... I think the sciency subjects are great for getting top grades in. Assuming you can understand the material, it's just a case of learning it and then doing past papers to figure out exam technique and the particular phrases they score. |

Rolen, isn't a 425/600 a B? And you didn't think you'd get in with a B...or have you mistyped? Anyway, good luck with Oxford. Dunno how you can be so motivated - my friend is there and she works like ALL the time.
I got As in English Literature, English Language and Politics. I got a B in Philosophy, missed the A by like 5 marks because I was a lazy [censored]. I got like 587/600 for English Language. That was an easy subject - I resat one module after failing it, and the syllabus had changed without anyone telling me and I only dropped 8 marks. Anyone who's worried, A levels are easy if you've any marginal intelligence and you choose essay based subjects. |

lol no I just play in my spare time. I go to Warwick uni. I play $55-215 SNGs and tournaments, played pretty much full time over summer until I had to revise for resits. BTW when you come to consider it, warwick has by far the best poker soc some really really good players go there.
