Re: NL50 - Is this AA/KK?

[ QUOTE ] He's got a big hand that he doesn't want me to draw out on him. [/ QUOTE ] So he could have JJ, or maybe TT...or maybe AKss...O wait....we didn't learn a single thing about his hand by raising....ooopppsss [/ QUOTE ] bingo. raising for information is crap because a shove from villain usually does little or nothing to narrow his range, particularly on this board, and achieves nothing other than getting us to throw a bunch of money in the fire. |

[ QUOTE ] don't raise the bet if you're not going to snap call a shove [/ QUOTE ] It is a 'lets see where i'm at raise' and i'm not priced in if he shoves. If I call and he bets a blanked turn, then I still dont know where I stand. [/ QUOTE ] At least define a range for him when he pushes. If AA,KK,JJ,AsKs you're about 3-2 behind and you're getting 2-1...you have enough equity to call. |

Re: NL50 - Is this AA/KK?
This is probably a call as played (with the raise on the flop) with the odds that is layed out, but I really struggle with these hands myself, I've seen to many players at these stakes overvaluing a worse overpair to be convinced that ur behind. I probably just call the flop and re-evaluate, but it doesn't get easier to lay it down on the turn to another blank...
