Re: Send It! vs. Ship It!
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] How/when will we get rid of the [x] posts? [/ QUOTE ] yeah they are definitely the worst trend.... even how much did you lose was better [/ QUOTE ] i totally see how a joke that is customizable and has virtually unlimited variants is worse than repeating the same phrase thousands of times. also, "ship it" is infinitely better, though both are obnoxious and should only be used against people you know wont be offended. |

SIIHP [/ QUOTE ] This wins. I'm pretty sure I'm going to start screaming "Stick it in her proper" every time I win a pot from now on. |

Re: Send It! vs. Ship It!
[ QUOTE ]
"Ship It!" seems to be the most widely heard post victory exclamation, at least within popular poker culture, but "Send it" seems to be much more prevelant at Hustler or Commerce (Local L.A. cardrooms). In all my years playing poker I don't know that I've ever heard a single L.A. player say "Ship It!" Is this a west coast/east coast thing? Personally, I think "Ship It!" sounds lame and forced. Like this post. [/ QUOTE ] I always thought "Ship it!" was east coast, and short for "Ship the Sherbert to Fat Herbert!" which was originally a way for ordering a drink from a bartender. If you really want to be cool, add a "Daddy-o" on the end. Try it the next time you win a pot, and all the players will marvel at how cool you are. Trust me. |
