I think the problem with checking the flop is that you've already given your hand away, why would you now give a free card away to a guy that knows what you likely hold? I personally hate limp raising AA because there is only about 1 hand with which most people will limp raise, and it's AA. So almost everytime you see a limp raise it is AA. So I don't think checking the flop is adding deception, I think it's saying hey, please hit your set, or you kicker to your Q or something that way I can get my AA cracked! Also, about the minraise, there really is no point. A player who will call $2 of his remaining 3.80 has commited to the pot, so if he'll call $2, he'll call $3.80.
