I don't like not betting the turn. The 9d on the turn probably didn't change anything.
Now he may think his mid-pair is good, or you're bluffing, so you have to jam, but it's a tough decision. I think he could easily have AK and play it the way he did. Calling your reraise with AK and having the button is a great way to stack you. |

this is one of the few times the line "if you reraise KQ you have to go broke here" ACTUALLY applies.

Pre is fine, my bad, but why is this guy betting the turn? Was he on a total float? Did he have KJ or KT? These are the only reasons I can see to get it in on the turn, unless you think he would randomly play QQ like this.
I think bet/calling turn is good though. |

RESULTS:
Fairly anti-climactic, but Hero folded to his $3K turn bet and resigned himself to a night of nursing his tender vag. I feel OK about the fold for a few reasons (but still thought it was a close decision): I was thinking on turn that I'd check and see what villain did, but I realize now that that's just my poor man's excuse for not having a solid plan for after he acted. I read his $3K bet (leaving himself only 1.6K behind) as a very strong bet that was screaming for a call. My thinking was more or less similar to KOD's in this thread: all I really thought I beat was a mid-pair and *maybe* KJ (altho unlikely). Given that I wasn't all that impressed with his play to that point and that I had yet to really see him pull any moves post-flop, I just decided that I'd find a better spot to get it in against the guy. I thought it was a tough spot, although the responses in this thread seem to be pretty polarized as to it being an easy decision one way or another (mostly leaning toward getting it in) |

leaving himself 1.6K says to me more like "why bluff it all when I can just bluff 3K" and also "pushing looks more desperate to get a fold, I'll leave myself a bit to make it look like I'm not wanting a fold". not saying he wouldnt make that bet with a made hand, just saying that i wouldnt be at all surprised that IF he were bluffing, that would be his bet size.

yeah betting 3k looks like he picked up a draw or something, but no matter if he bets 500, 1500, 3k, or all-in I really don't see how you fold this
