With villains AF it's a fold, even with the attractive odds. I don't even know if this guy shove nutflushdraws or be in it with AJs, and then it would be a even clearer fold.

Board: 9c Jh 6c

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 24.743% 22.54% 02.20% 4909 480.00 { QcQh }
Hand 1: 75.257% 73.05% 02.20% 15911 480.00 { JJ+, 99, AdKd, AdQd, AdJd, AhJh }

However, if you change the hand to KK or AA it's a clear call. And btw, I don't think you should ever check this behind a someone mentioned. There's just to many scarry cards and you make the turn and river decision so hard. Just bet/fold, you get value from the hands you can get value from, you charge draws and you spare yourself from a headache.

What range would you asign him to? I give him that tight of a range because of his ridicoulsly low AF and the fact that it's a 3betted flop with him being OOP. And there's no mention from OP that they got an aggro history or that he might be a bit tilted. What, you think he would call a 3bet OOP pf and CRAI with something like 5d7d, A9s or all AJo?

but i think you would see A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or some other combo draw most of the time.

ummmm it's not like we have much equity against a combo draw...we're looking for AJo here.

how is slightly less then 50% not much?

I know what you're getting at though, but the point is that we beat his range, doesn't matter what particular hand he's holding this time. I wouldn't care if he had JJ. It's still a correct move.

i read the thread. i think its a heck of a lot closer than some posters claim. we're either [censored] or he's very very live. just because his range is wide doesn't make it a clear call.

Unknown, I didn't post what I think the range is...I'm going with dustbustr and saying it's very close. If AJ suited is the best case scenario as far as the range goes then I'd fold. Of course sometimes there's some random stuff that we kill that we'd never predict...maybe like 5% of his range and then there's also the small % of the time he's bluffing.

But yeah...if we could say we're slightly less than 50% here it's obv a call...I'm thinking it's pretty close though.
