Re: I know, seriously guys, you\'ve been waiting for another Dids bus p
[ QUOTE ]
1- is her request acceptable? We board and exit the bus from the same park and ride, so it's not like I'm really going out of my way, but we're not in the least bit friendly or familiar. [/ QUOTE ] I don't even know what her request is. "Bring in my crate"? Also, a ride in whose car? If she means yours, then she's fishing for rides from a stranger--not good. If she means hers, then apparently she's looking for manual labor to bring her "crate" in. I think you did the right thing turning her down. [ QUOTE ] 2- how many of you, in my spot, ride with the lady? [/ QUOTE ] I do not, unless I see pics of the daughter and she looks approximately like my avatar. [ QUOTE ] 3- Shouldn't it be really [censored] basic to get somebody's attention before trying to talk to them when they're wearing headphones? I can homicide because of this, right? [/ QUOTE ] Yes, it is very basic. I can think of no more obvious polite way to indicate that you're not interested in conversation. |

[ QUOTE ]
If I rode the bus, I would emit such an aura of unfriendliness that nobody would ever consider asking me for anything. [/ QUOTE ] Sir I do not believe you are actually capable of this. You look like big genial Hans the baker, aside from the warlock markings. I would have to see it to believe it. |

[/ QUOTE ] As usual, I'm sure I talk a great game about being a dick but then end up carrying the old woman's damn crate. So I just avoid these situations. Jesus, though, Hans the baker? I mean, I know I need to lose weight again, but wow. |

Re: I know, seriously guys, you\'ve been waiting for another Dids bus p
1. Fat people get asked for directions more often then skinny people. We're less threatening.
2. While its too late you should NOT ride with this lady. I don't mind helping random people, but in her eyes this would elevate your bus relationship a level or seven. You don't want that. At all. 3. I hate people that don't realize you don't want to make friends with them. |
