That's a huge wallet. I never was able to put more than about 6k into a standard wallet and still have it close.

Real poker players don't carry wallets. They use rubber bands.

On a related note. How do you guys get cash at the Belagio in the first place. Do you just show up with 10k+ in your pocket? Some kind of bank transfer?

I dont really feel comfortable carrying a 15/30 roll in cash much less a 1/2 roll.

[/ QUOTE ]

on my first few poker trips, i was very uneasy about carrying around 3-5k anywhere. but as i move up in limits and have to bring more money, i get used to carrying it.

just bring the cash in your pocket, or a fanny pack or man purse, and then get a box somewhere and keep it there until you leave.

once you get there though, you'll feel silly for being worried about carrying that kind of cash. 5k in your pocket wont even turn heads in a casino in vegas.

yeah, i wouldn't sweat walking around with less than $50,000, honestly.

if you've got 10K in your pocket, someone within fifty feet probably has 40K, or at least they do in the bellagio.

The fact that you don't understand this is very typical of the American middle-class conservative attitude, made up of so many under-achievers, so prevalent in this country. Folks who really have no concept of true wealth or how to attain and preserve it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Absolutely right. Conservatives and the American middle-class are terrible at attaining and preserving wealth. Liberals know that the way to attain it is through redistributive entitlement policies, and that it can best be preserved through a system that discourages productivity and fosters parasitism.

Nevermind the fact that the conservative middle class in this country's created the most powerful and dynamic economic powerhouse in the history of the planet.

As for carrying a big wad, no one knows you're carrying it in. On the way out, you can ask for an escort to your vehicle and I'm fairly certain you'll be accomodated. Failing that, a box isn't a bad idea.
