Aargh, replies coming too fast. I can't keep up.

[ QUOTE ]
Do you ever think he bets a pair on the end to see if you'll call with a hand like AQ though? Or do you think he ever just goes, "duhhhh I have a pair... it's the best hand.... value bet LDO....."

[/ QUOTE ]
Meh, very rarely.

[ QUOTE ]
i doubt jig is ever delay double barreling here with AQ or something, so why would villain call with pocket 9s or whatnot? on the flop his hand is worth a call, on the turn a check is optimal and on the river he has three options: call/fold/raise

fold>call, but where does raise fit in? it's worth thinking about...

[/ QUOTE ]
Lol, I have actually done that delayed double barrel and got away with it. But I knew what level of thinking my villain was on then and what he was thinking about me, I don't know this villain well enough to do it. So yeah, I'm going to be showing up with top pair+ here.

caterp, that was my thinking too. I just felt I was leveling myself into a call. I've made similar calls before against thinking regs, but I have a feeling I'm just going to be shown the goods too often here by most 200NL regs.

[ QUOTE ]
Do you ever be 1/3 pot on he river here as a bluff? cus it looks to me like your river bet turns your hand face up, which I don't like much if you think he's good.

[/ QUOTE ]
I bet ~2/3 pot? And, well, if I got here this way this is probably my valuebet with my entire range. KT is the weakest hand I'm going to show up with.

check-fold is usually better than check-call here.

This is an interesting hand. I go into passive c/c mode with this hand from the flop on. He's drawing to 2-3 outs usually with whatever he has, unless he's already ahead. I pretty much check/call him down all 3 streets.

If villain has KQ this is super sexy.

I don't think villain ever bets anything on the river that we beat so that's why checking and then folding is best.

If he is good, this is a call.

you all advocate calling if the board was drawy and bricked and folding since it's dry. this is pretty level 1 and given the description i think it's safe to say this guy is above that. if anything at least give him credit for not being dumb enough to raise here if the board were drawy and missed and jig still bet river.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think you are giving him too much credit. We have all seen some pretty ridiculous plays by TAGs who were previously thought were good till they proved otherwise.

Also if a villain did raise on the river he has to know that you are good enough to figure he might be trying to bluff his way out of a missed draw for him to know not to do it without a strong hand. Again you are giving him a lot of credit for thinking on that level.

Value bet much?!? WTF at c/fing here.

I agree check-calling is bad here, but check-folding is way worse.
