anyone who doesn't 3bet-call push or push needs to go back to poker 101

Hmmm I just call, if you're reraising I prefer less than push.
Eh actually make it 625/fold. |

A genuine loose-passive wouldn't play a set like this, would he? Unless it is specifically 77 that hit on the river, doesn't a set raise the turn? I think right play depends on just how passive he is, but this looks more like the nuts than set / two pair.

why did u overbet the river? did u want him to just call with his twopairs/sets?

I think 45 is his most likely hand...he's played this hand exactly how a loose passive player would play 45 (if he's loose passive enough to limp 45o or 45s UTG!). I think there are definite arguments for calling against this type of opponent, though I lean towards pushing.

you made the worst river bet ever. You may scare him from raising sets/two pair hands that you could then shove over.
As played, I think a shove is too much. It's a lot of dough for him and he may be able to convince himself to fold enough sets where you actually become behind 50% of the time he calls. Having butchered the river, I'd raise to like 600 and call a shove |

bet the flop, and I don't like your river bet at all.

does anyone think that villain shows up with sets/2 pair hands more often than 8-9 for the nuts?
