Well, yes and no. Compare the game to chess. I can teach you in 10 minutes all the rules and which way the horseys move, but there is literally an infinite amount of strategy you will learn as you go.

Bridge is literally chess with cards. You start with a 15 word language that can form 38 different phrases. You have to use this language to accurately describe your hand to your partner, and there are like 600 Gazillion possible hands you can be dealt. Oh yeah, and the defending team gets to listen to your description and use any information they receive to try to keep you from doing what you are trying to do in the first place.

It just gets better from there.
