I agree it's extreme and understand I didn't spend a ton of time on it I just wanted to put something together that would be visual so people could see what I was talking about. Clearly, first place needs a higher percentage than what's on my structure.

I sort of wish there was a slightly flatter payout. I think some of the differences in payouts between 1st and 2nd place is too absurd.

Having said that, the flat payout structure you posted is ridiculous and silly.

How about when you play great poker for 5 hours or so and are on the final table bubble. You raise with AA get pushed all in on in a pot that would give you the chip lead and ability to go deep onto the final table. You call of course and the guy flips over 77 -- sure enough he sucks out and sends you to the rail in 10th place for a really poor payday. That one beat cost you thousands of dollars in many tournaments.
