I only watched an hour (before the dinner break). Not much happened, I think the Alex guy doubled up through the CL.

My thoughts:

Damn the action is slow. It seemd like they played 5 hands in the hour I watched.

I may hate phil gordon, but his commentary is a fresh change. I like Ali najad (was that him doing play by play?), and Phil Gordon combo, and I'd take it over ESPN's Chad and McCaren any day.

The "internet pro" they interviewed. I hate all internet pros when it comes to hearing what they have to say. I mean it seemes like they are just copies of some type of internet pro robot. They all sound the same: talk at about 250 words per minute, have no respect for anyones game, and are so damn analytical. I play on the internet exclusively, btw.

"and I'd take it over ESPN's Chad and McCaren any day"

Chad's strat advice and observations are MUCH better than Gordon's.

Phil's analysis was basically:

All 1/2 pot sized bets are great.

If you flat call preflop OOP donk all flops.

Really obvious timing/bet size/strong means weak and vice versa tells

Really silly specific reads putting players on 2 cards instead of likely ranges and fully discounting obvious hands like "top pair"

Being totally bewlidered by anybody checking the flop and unable to put them on a hand.

I agree with ELD, the editing will make this a battle between the holy vs. stone cold Ruskies and Canadian pros.

Yang's 10 percent donation promise guarantees this.

I'm not a Gordon fan, but I don't understand the hate. It's hard to talk for 12 -14 hours straight, and doing so insures lots of slip ups. That said, his ripping on 2+2 demonstrates a lack of self confidence.

Only other thing strange was that long boring denistry story from Corey Ziedman. Or should I say ZZZZZiedman.

P.S. Favorite part: Matasow there in the booth and Gordon pointing to everyone in the massive crowd and saying: "These are all the people Mike owes money to."

Re: RaiNKhAN

Anyone else think he could make an absolute killing if he traveled the country and hit up a bunch of "Guess Your Age" booths at various amusement parks and carnivals? Imagine how many stuffed animals he could get! Seriously, oldest looking 22-year-old ever.
