I've been told that it's a bad idea to carry a lot of cash across the border. Besides obvious robbery issues, as I understand it at any point they can decide it's drug money and seize it.

dont think anyone has mentioned this yet, but when you bring back more than 10k on an international flight you have to declare it, not a huge deal but a pain nonetheless and i would suggest doing it if possible

im not sure about taking money out of the country though although im assuming youll want to bring it back
