I think it's also possible that after the flop 3 bet, Villain could mentally fart with top two or any set, correct? especially if he's unremarkable.

if he has top two or a set, he may still think youd call a donkish bet like this on the turn with a worse hand... or some crap like that.

seems like a split to me.

I doubt he expects us to raise naked 3's on this flop, and even hands like 53 and 43 we're probably just calling. There are very few hands that have a 3 in them that we can take this line with, so he's probably not too worried about it.
