Funny you made this post, I just started listening to Wilco myself...so far my 2 favorite songs are both off of disc 2 of the double album "Being There" - "Someday Soon" and "Dreamer in my Dreams" Unfortunately, their songs tend to be hit-or-miss for me, where I either love it or hate it, and 2/3 of it has fallen into the "miss" category.

They actually just played around here recently; I have a couple friends who went and gave rave reviews.

Hi, I'm 31 years old, and I'm a great guy. You can ask my friends.

The band which stole my name.... Nah, don't like.

I saw Wilco in Madison around 1994-95, after A.M. came out. Didn't want to go to a "country" show, but my roommate made me go. Loved them ever since.

I actually do have a hard time listening to Sky Blue Sky even though I don't think my expectations were astronomical. I haven't listened to their earlier stuff and am very much looking forward to it when I get the chance. I really really like 'a ghost is born'.

Yankee Hotel Foxtrot was not too good at first, took a long time to get used to and now today is undeniably is my favorite album ever. I listen to a lot of music and have never heard another album where I consider every song nearly flawless like this record. It is unbelievable. It is most certainly not my most listened to record. Once every few weeks or so I will listen to it again and am blown away by something new that I discover or just to hear how perfect it really is. There are so few records this good that have ever been created in my opinion and because of just this one album I will always consider Jeff Tweedy one of my favorite artists.

Slim,

Check out the movie "I Am Trying To Break Your Heart" about the making of YHF.

Also I think Son Volt is very good as well.

Me too. I also downloaded A Ghost is Born, and Yankee Hotel Foxtrot along with it. I'm gonna give it a listen in chronological order.

Love Wilco so much. Heard Summerteeth back in the day, but didn't instantly fall into it as I was more into hardcore back then. Then while I was out in San Francisco, I just picked up the Wilco Documentary on DVD (I am Trying to Break Your Heart) just cause it looked cool,( I knew YHF was supposed to be the next great album, but had just never bothered to pick it up) watched it once and instantly bought every Wilco album, they probably are my favorite band, and it makes me happy when other people get into them. LSF, try and see them live when you get a chance. Always a great show.
