I'm Todd, I'm attempting to play live NLH MTTs for a living. For those who read my advice posts, I issue the following disclaimers:

1. I read No Limit Hold 'Em by Sklansky and Miller, and disagreed with virtually all of it except for that part which said that AA was the best hand in an all-in preflop situation.

2. I believe there exist situations in which you should fold a pair to an all-in shove, such as this one:

Lee Watkinson Takes Over the Chiplead
Lee Watkinson bet 400,000 and Will Spadea raised to 800,000. Watkinson moved all in for 6.5 million and Spadea quickly called.

Watkinson: As Kd
Spadea: 9c 9h

The flop was 8d 8h 7s. The turn was the Js. Watkinson was on the brink of elimination and down to six outs. The river was the Kh and Watkinson hit one of his outs. He doubled through Spadea and took over the lead. Watkinson increased his stack to over 14 million.

3. I believe it's possible that you may not need to take as many risks in a live tournament with huge stacks and 2 hour levels which are played out over several days as you do in the Stars Sunday Million.

4. Whenever I play live tournies for several days or weeks in a row and then go play an Internet tournament, I become all the more convinced that Internet tournaments are rigged for action.

5. I believe that neither Phil Hellmuth nor Daniel Negreanu is a terrible MTT player.
