Just wondering, if this guy is an unknown and most are saying to stack off to him, then why isn't a flop raise good? If he has 99-JJ, AK, maayybbbeee AQs, he may stack off since he holds an overpair to the board or is a monkey who can'f fold a big A. Waiting till the turn may hurt your action (if a scare card comes out) or sink you.

Seems like the majority wants to get it in here and is just debating the best way to maximize this. If thats the case, then raising the flop with the intention of calling a shove does this just as good as any line we can take.

Just a little devils advocate here but I am not sold with the advice in this thread....

Raising the flop isn't horrible, raising and folding to a push is horrible.

Raising becomes vastly better if we have some meta where he is 3-betting a decent amount and he thinks hero is overly aggro. Without that calling is most likely to induce bluffs and get action from worse on the whole.

If he has the aformentioned hands I mention, then I don't see why you won't get the same action with fast flop play. And no need to slowplay/disguise our hand here. We are in a 3bet preflop pot. Obviously we either have something or are running a bluff in an attempt to represent something.

Raise/folding is never an option here. This is not hiiro guy talking.
