I want to play Bridge

i used to play with my brother on okbridge years ago, i remember enough to be competitive on a novice level but not much more than that

How do you guys find live bridge games? I've tried meetup.com, craigslist, nothing. And I don't want to ACBL it with a bunch of grannies. Assume none of your friends play bridge.

What area are you in? I know my local community has a bridge league, but I have not played in it.

Bridge somehow is on a decline. Could it have something to do with poker?

In some areas, at least, the decline has levelled out, though it's still fairly rare to find large numbers of young people playing.

"ACBLing it with a bunch of grannies," once, just to ask the three youngest people in the room for their names and numbers, isn't a bad start. For that matter, you could just look up the number for the manager of your local ACBL club and give him the "I don't really want to play duplicate, do you know any social games in the area?" song and dance.
