[ QUOTE ]
Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q, J.
Hero calls, 2 folds, MP1 calls, 4 folds, SB raises, BB calls, Hero calls, MP1 calls.

Flop: (8 SB) T, 8, 6 (4 players)
SB bets, BB folds, Hero calls, MP1 calls.

Turn: (5.50 BB) J (3 players)
SB bets, Hero calls, MP1 calls.

River: (8.50 BB) 6 (3 players)
SB checks, Hero bets, MP1 raises, SB folds, Hero...

[/ QUOTE ]

Turn -- Raising here make its 7.5-2 to call, and someone holding two hearts can't call that profitably.

[/ QUOTE ]

After u raise FD has pot odds 8,5:2 and much better impiled odds so he can still call this and make +EV.
Even when u be capped at turn then still u can do flush and takes 2BB at river and then u have about 3,8:1 so little -EV.
So i think FD have to call it.

flop is a very close call (ima assuming easy call if it's a rainbow flop), raise turn (esp with someone behind u)

as played i don't think ur hand is any good here.

[/ QUOTE ]
i read op too quick, flop is easy call with 2 oc's as well.

you should discount your outs on the flop.

raise the turn

[/ QUOTE ]

QFT.

Turn raise is the way to show this hand down. You can check-behind on a [censored] card like that 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or you can bet a safe card.

edit: Even with discounted outs on the flop, I think this is a call.

To pf folders -- SSHE standard is call, why do we deviate?
Flop is easy call with GSSD + 2 overs
Raise turn
Fold river

Probably a combination of it being marginal and bias (its hard to pretend like you dont know its going to be raised)

Buzz: QJs UTG. Why limp?

Easy there BBB. You can't just say that. They're watching you know!...

But regardless, most, if not all, concepts still apply. The preflop starting guide still applies for games of that type.

hehe yes i should qualify and say that what i meant was you can't just play any semi-decent hand from any position regardless of number of people already in the pot and still expect to sleepwalk your way to massive profits, like you could back when sshe was written.

Oi, don't just come here claiming to be a "student of the game", then give bad advice with no reasoning.

Why am I being so nitty in this thread? I'm just tired, running bad and cranky.
