Re: Is it viable to fold KK preflop against a super TAG with AA?
In all scenarios you are at least 3betting with KK, therefore once someone comes over with the 4th bet or all in, look at what the pot is giving you on a call.
Take a look at pokerstove and start running ranges vs KK. At the micro levels you will see a wide range willing to get it all in including tag players. I cant pull it up right now due to being at work, but take 2 ranges. Conservative: AKo, AKs, AA, KK, More realistic: AQo,AQs,AKo,AKs,JJ,QQ,KK,AA Due the math then decide if you think you should fold KK at the micros for 100bb's. There is a mathmatical reason as to why you dont fold it preflop at the lower levels. On a side note: In your example you have 32 hands which means nothing in the scheme of things. I generally dont get into any hands in first 2 or 3 orbits, thats half your hands right there. So dont get caught up in their stats until you have a large sample size. |

Re: Is it viable to fold KK preflop against a super TAG with AA?
This is the 8% PFR range for villian. You did say villain was 8/8, right? So, even if your 8/8 stats were over 2000 hands, this is still villain's range:
88+,ATs+,KTs+,QJs,AJo+ Now, how exactly do you put him on AA exactly so that you shouldn't be 3betting KK but folding, like you said when you called one of the posters a moron? Because, it seems you're FRUSTRATED that you've run KK into AA a lot of times preflop and are now considering that when an 8/8 raises preflop and you have KK , he always has AA. When in fact he raises preflop with the range above. Oh, and 8/8 isn't a super tag. A super tag is 4/3. |
