The country a player is logged in from is shown beside their player name. Unless you are living in a country not of your birth then your nationality/race is evident. (Leaving aside the issue of anyone using a proxy server from which to login. If indeed that is technically possible.)

I have had issues with it also, although people figure out my race as this isn't the picture I use.
