[ QUOTE ]
I'm in favor of reducing time for $200 buyin events because they will get 2k+ runners, causing them to run for 15+ hours with 30 minute levels.

Am I the only one who thinks we could do away with the 10/20 level? No reason IMO to play 150bb deep for 1/2 hour, 100bb is plenty deep to start out.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would rather have a great structured tournament that runs for 15 hrs than something that lasts for 12 and gets crapshooty towards the mid to late stages.

More evidence that PLO is short stacked in the WCOOP relative to NLHE: the $500+30 events.

PLO starting stack = 3000, a level 13 orbit = 2250, ratio = 1.33
NLHE starting stack = 10000, a level 13 orbit = 6000, ratio = 1.67

And remember, PLO plays much faster than NLHE when the stacks are equally deep.

I think you should treat the $500+30 PLO as your premium PLO tourney of the year. Instead, it's set up like it's a sideshow for NLHE.

No offense, but I think we get the point already.

Don't worry, I'm done. I just want to make sure my argument gets seen by Bryan.

I really don't want the PLO events scaled back to 20 minute levels because several people want some of the NLHE events sped up.

No worries, Silent... I've seen them.

Your posts have spurned me into researching reports to compare NLHE speed to PLO speed, given equal stacks and field sizes. It'll take a while to collect a good sample... lots of tournaments to scan through.

All the best,

If I may speak for everyone who loves PLO, "thank you, very, very much."

And if I may speak for everyone who is sick of me polluting this thread with PLO, "thank you, very, very much."

Can you run information on the satellites? Maybe we can post some ideas on those structures with slightly higher buyins with a better ratio for winners to each event. (i/e 1 in 4 or 5 like the FTOPS)

Also, how about a 100r for the main event satellite? Or a 3 stage like the Sunday Million like a $15 to a $100, then the $100 to a $500 with almost 1 in 5 getting a seat to the ME.

I want 3-4 stage sats personally :P. They increase runners, increase "got in on a sat for 10 bucks and won 230k!!!!" marketing, and of course I can exploit large soft fields for low-variance profit!
