[ QUOTE ] Why call the floor? Can't you 'splain it to Lucy yourself? [/ QUOTE ] You call the floor because a lot of recreational players will not necessarily accept that it is a "rule" when another player tells them instead of the dealer/floor. [/ QUOTE ] Then why begin with the Floor? Why not ask for the Casino manager? I prefer to try to handle it with as little fuss as possible. |

calling the floor is really nitted here. like someone else side, this is 3/6, people constantly comment in hands when they aren't suppose to. nothing really you can do about it. [/ QUOTE ] Of course you can. You can call the floor. Usually it'll embarrass the crap out of the little loser and he won't do it again, maybe ever. We called the floor on a cocky little frat boy one time and hammered away so long he finally mucked the best hand in a 3 way pot face up on the turn. |

I had a similar situation last night where my neighbour cost me a $40 call from a complete fish. The guy was trying to decide if he should call (which he always did) when my neighbour makes 2-3 comments about how he should fold. His one comment was that he needed at least a pair to call me. The dealer just sat there [/ QUOTE ] You scoop the pot, look the dealer in the eye and tell him he should have said something immediately, and then don't tip him (probably for the rest of the session, unless he immediately apologizes and changes.) |

[/ QUOTE ] Rereading OP's description, it does appear that he went straight to the floor - I agree that you can try to handle it yourself first, but if the home-player-expert at a low limit table shows any resistance to the rule, I get the dealer or floor to set him straight. |

you call the Floor after you've taken matters into your hands...
"you just cost me a bunch of money by opening that hole in your face, so I'm gonna' be forced to lodge this $100 chip into your eye-socket" |
