Believe me, I am for him getting paid back. I don't know him, and certainly stuck up for him getting paid in the Brandi threads. However, from what I know of this situation, these loans are long standing, and he has only recently developed an interest in collecting. Legally they owe him the money back, and certainly morally, but if they did not agree to a payment plan, it can be legally difficult to suddenly insist on repayment, when he didn't ask for it before, and I assume there were times earlier when they could have paid it back.

Also, in this particular case, once he determined that they couldn't/wouldn't pay the debt at the table, continuing to make an incident of it seems to impair other people's play who are uninvolved in this, and not get him any closer to him money. I would think make posts the say if they don't pay by X time they are welshers are more likely to get him somewhere. But good luck to him with his collections, and don't forget Brandi!

I knew a guy once who walked into the casino with around $1000. He was playing in a cash game where he was winning. This cash game also happened to have a bad beat jackpot which this guy won, something like $30 000.He did not play a further hand of poker or anything else for that matter and walked out of the casino potless.
This guy had alot of people in the casino that he owed money to.

as such there is probably a group of 50+ people waiting on neverwin to have a large tournament score so they can get in line.

FIFTY PEOPLE?! Seriously?

How does the 50th guy say yes to giving him money? Is there anyone out there with a longer list of backers? Ohhh that could be a good thread!

Before Mark had money from his LHE success and WPT 1st place. He has since lost all of that money and the only asset left on the books for him is the money owed to him by Brandi, Newhizzle, and others.

When he was flush with cash he had no need to call in the markers. Now that he is busto he needs the money to keep him in the game.

I know right? I loan is a loan,

I would probably only do this if NW was hiding from Mark and they couldn't settle this in a normal manner off "hey sorry pay you back xxx amount in xxx days etc" or something like that.

Sponger,

"How does the 50th guy say yes to giving him money? Is there anyone out there with a longer list of backers?"

I don't know about Neverwin specifically, but I know with a lot of these guys it's not "loaning" like that but more of a "hey, fire me 10k on Stars, I'll get you back on Tilt."

There are tons of young online players who have come into a ton of money quickly without really having much in the way of social skills. That guarantees a pretty much endless stream of money available to guys who want to take advantage of those kids.

No, it's usually a good way to look at it. Only loan money you can afford never to be paid back. Back when I was cooking for a living, I'd never loan more than $20 to anyone, but loan $20 to anyone that asked. With my group of poker friends, it is very different. It is a great asset to be able to walk up to a friend during a poker session and ask, "dude, can you spot me $3k?" This money is almost always repaid within 3 days, the longer paybacks due to not seeing each other more than anything else.
