Reggie Wayne is Peerless Price to Marvin Harrison's Eric Moulds.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, this is the obvious comparison. I think Wayne is better than Price, but that might be hindsight talking. Anyone who thinks he's a top ten wr is nutso.

Why do you think Chambers isn't better?

They both came into the league the same year. Chambers averages a yard better per catch has 11 more touchdowns and 400 more yards. All with much inferior QB's throwing him the ball (granted he is the only target down there).

Joe Horn was better, but I think his age has finally caught up to him.

Burress, Boldin and Wayne are very comparable (stats-wise), saying they are better isn't fair now that I think about it.

Chambers got thrown at 44 more times than Reggie Wayne last year. Despite that, he caught one less pass.

Burress and Boldin were similarly thrown at far more than Reggie Wayne.

That's not a point in anyone's favor, but it's obviously hard to compare them. I'm just going off of my own opinion here.

Yeah, Joe Horn was better... in 2004. Even that's debatable IMO.

Fair enough. I guess one could debate this forever.

Chambers, Burress & Boldin may have had more passes thrown their way last season, but by far worse QB's. Not to mention those 3 guys frequently line up against the opposing teams #1 CB (well maybe not Boldin), while Wayne gets to pick on the #2.

Wayne, Burress & Boldin are all pretty equal in my book. Chambers is only slightly ahead of Wayne, but I do think he is better. This is also my opinion.

I guess we are getting a bit off track though. I think we all could agree that there are 10 better receivers in the NFL right now then Reggie Wayne.

Hmmm..

I'm not really so sure. I think there's clearly say, a top 7 (Moss, Moss, Owens, Holt, Harrison, Smith, CJ) and after that you get blurry. Hard to tell.

Oh, and I just wanted to say that Reggie Wayne is better than Peerless Price ever was.

Is that seven in order? If it is I have some serious complaints with it.

Also I think Fitzgerald is top in that top tier of reciever.

Thirdly where did you get the balls thrown stat for Chris Chambers.

Not in order.

Thrown at can be found here. Obviously has some problems but it's a stat taken from the play by play.
