Re: You Know I Want To But We\'re In Too Deep. Live 1/2
I disagree about it not being an overplay of AA/KK.
Hero's cold calling range here does not include KQ, or 99, or anything else AA/KK has a hope of beating. |

Re: You Know I Want To But We\'re In Too Deep. Live 1/2
You don't call this with KQ? So many live players get hung up on KK/AA that they will play this exactly the same way imo. Meh, I dunno, we're so deep why not peel one at this relatively cheap price and check turn. He never bets anything we beat if the turn blanks right?

[ QUOTE ] Yeah, UTG led, MP raised, Hero called, UTG raised $100 more and MP folded. I think it's a pretty easy fold from there. Either villain's overplaying KK-AA (unlikely) or he has QQ-JJ or maybe AK. It's just way too likely that we're behind and drawing to one out. [/ QUOTE ] OK if that's the flop action I have to push (OR CALL??). Set over set is a coolinator. This isn't overplaying AA/KK at all, it's pretty standard for those hands vs MP and OP's coldcall imo. We gots outs on AK, let's rock. Edit: on reflection a push is retarded probably. Call and check turn to see what he does. [/ QUOTE ] Villain is first to act on the turn. I'm pretty sure he's shoving a bricked turn. |

Well if he shoves then you fold obv. I doubt he shoves with AA/KK after you've played it like a monster. Maybe I'm being too passive...

call first time, fold second. i don't have pokerstove on here but i have to imagine his range is AK/bigger sets/KK. if our equity against that range is enough, i guess shoving is ok.

[ QUOTE ] Soooooooo... Everyone is afraid that UTG has exactly AK, QQ, and JJ? What .... the... [censored]!? UTG is going to play AA pretty strong as well, guys. I agree with calling but if UTG shoves I am never ever ever ever folding here. By calling we heavily underrep our hand and he could easily put us on a hand like KQ and shove KK/AA for value and protection, especially given the donk's presence in the hand. I (hope) we are all agreed that we likely have MP drawing dead or to 4 outs or something. [/ QUOTE ] Fair enough, and yes, we agree that MP is a Post Toastie. Hero called, UTG raised $100 on top, MP mucked. Plan now? [/ QUOTE ] Easy push. |

[/ QUOTE ] I know, like, TWO live players in a field of over 200 regs at my live casino who would recognize this, and, in fact, they would only actually be correct if *I* am the cold-caller. |

Not even close. And AA is the [censored] nuts to 99.999999999999999999% of live players. |

This is one of those spots where if it was on-line I think you flip a coin or something, but maybe since its live you can get a read.
