[ QUOTE ] No hand that calls turn will fold to river bet except missed flush. [/ QUOTE ] I'm assuming you mean to this river bet cause a big river bet folds out a lot of holdings that called turn. [/ QUOTE ] yep thats what I meant.. and your right |

Re: 200NL, 77, and this is why i don\'t move up
[ QUOTE ]
i dunno, why are you raising 77 in the sb? doesn't most of the value from 77 come from sets? wouldn't you want to keep a lot of people in the pot to cooler? aren't you in a terrible position 84% of the time postflop? [/ QUOTE ] I auto raise pf here, but guess I hadn't given much thought to why. Against a 30/7.5 villain don't we have the best hand here a lot? Combined with the time our cbet will take it down, and our set value I still like the raise. I agree that the rest of the hand is played pretty badly. The flop bet should be bigger, as should the turn bet if we are going to rep the king (turn check is good as well). Just interested in people's thoughts about 55-99 type pairs oop to a limp pf. |

Re: 200NL, 77, and this is why i don\'t move up
Bet more on the flop. Bet more on the turn. C/f river. I can't for the life of me figure out what's the purpose of the river bet, since it's too small to be a bluff and your hand is too weak to vb. If it's to keep a missed fd from bluffing I just don't think it serves it purpose since it looks so weak.
