This section of SSHE is rather difficult and requires several rereads. Of course DS doesnt expect you to make these calculations at the table, they are just to provide you with an idea of how to think about a hand in which u may have hidden outs. Of course it will often be difficult to determine when u might have hidden outs, but I assure you I have played some hands where it has come into play. Read and reread the section. think about it when u play. think about it when you review hands that youve played. Its the kind of subject taht will become clearer as u play more.

minor correction:
[ QUOTE ]
if you neve ever heard about hidden outs in your life, your game wouldn't suffer a bit.

if you never heard about hidden outs in your life, your game would suffer a tiny bit. but not much. It isnt a very important topic but remember that as a winning player, your edge is small. every little bit helps.

Hidden outs are good for deciding if your hand is worth continuing w/, you don't need to know your opponents exact hand but just a possible range, if he is showing considerable strength they diminish etc.
