actually my prof does look kinda like that, in the really big and gay part, but he doesn't have any facial hair.

Lol, good times.

For the dog thing, I can see possibly missing 1 class if it was some kind of unexpected event. I had a dog that was hit by a car when I wasn't home and someone had let her out of the house for some reason and I was pretty distraught, may have even missed a class the next morning, but if it was like the dog was old and they put it down or something similar, I can't see why you would even miss one day of work.

To put it in perspective, the guy took two days off, right? It may be a week of classes for you, but a couple days off doesn't sound like a very big deal. People take days off all the time for way stupider stuff than sickness and death issues, even if it is only a dog.

Btw, I think I'd be more upset at losing a dog than losing plenty of humans.
