I potted the turn. He mucked.
Figure the nut flush will usually raise w/ that much money in the pot on the flop, and he probably wont call w/o it on the turn, so I decided to commit myself to the hand and figured I've got a decent amount of FE against a lot of flushes. |

Very nice hand. I don't have a lot of experience playing deep-stacked live, but I can see how you might get more flushes to lay down in that arena.
It's just tough to put a mountain of chips out there without the nuts, especially if this is a 2/5 game that's just playing big. For the record, against a good thinking player, I think 1/2 pot flop, pot turn looks a lot like a naked ace, but it's probably as dependent on your image and your opponent as anything. Congrats on finding the right time for this line anyway. Did you show here? Seems like that could be a good spot to put your opponent on tilt and really develop a loose, gambling image. |
