200 NL How is this line??
6-handed full stacks 200NL:
Villain is new to me but my first impression is that he is somewhat loose and bad. Open limps instead of raises. Villain limps OTB, SB calls, I check with 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the BB. Flop: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB checks, hero checks, villain bets 6, SB folds, Hero reraises to 18, villain calls. Turn: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Pot is 42 Hero checks, villain checks. River: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Hero bets 33, Villain reraises to 66, hero calls. |

were you planning on c/r turn? i think bet is much better. as played, river call is good.

Re: 200 NL How is this line??
Not leading the flop is horrible. As played lead turn try to get it in. As played you cant really fold river. It really looks like villain has a four
Edit: c/r flop could be ok if you are sure villain is betting almost always here. |

Re: 200 NL How is this line??
yeah, id almsot never c/r this flop. if he has enough to call your check raise, he probably has enough to raise your initial bet, in which case you can get in 3bets. in an unraised pot w/ the nuts i am basically trying to get the money in as fast as possible, as should he if he has something like 35 or 22, A4, or something similar.
and you HAVE to fire this turn. especially after you check raise the flop, the likelihood of him checking behind is too high for fear that you have a monster. i think you kinda gave away the strength of your hand, then played passively, scared to get value. |

[/ QUOTE ] I dont think this is right. Well, the reason I didnt bet the turn is that the board pairs. I only beat 53 and A4 and some random hands like A5 and overpairs now and Im not stacking off with my hand. If he has a hand I beat I will get my value on the river since my line looks weird. If Im beat I loose the minimum. |

assuming villain is bad and loose:
[ QUOTE ] and some random hands like A5 and overpairs [/ QUOTE ] big part of villain range no? When I'm playing bad I love to bluff these guys which I know is pretty stupid (yes I have self control issue) but at least when I get back to my sane state of mind I can now value bet and feel good about it. |

Re: 200 NL How is this line??
raise more on flop
you want to get more money in the pot, it's very hard to get 400 pot from a 6 pot so raise the living [censored] out of that |
