Let's answer your question first:

I'd have stayed. This is the most profitable situation you're ever going to find. That being said, once when I was at one of those tables, the drunks couldn't miss and ended up taking as much as I was willing to lose for the evening.

In your case, if you were primarily playing to have fun (as opposed to winning money), a concept alien to most of us here, you should leave the table.

If you're concerned because you can't win money at this kind of table, you should learn how to win money at this kind of table.

If you lose your dollar limit -- it's a tough call, because from an ev point of view, this is the case where you want to get the emergency money out. However, I'm personally very strict, when I lose what I'm prepared to lose, I leave, regardless of the circumstances.

FWIW, I'd have told the sweet old lady that she was flashing her cards -- once. If she keeps doing it, she's on her own.
