18/20. The last one I couldn't figure out and got wrong. His was a confusing smile, not like the others.

Caveat: I've read most of Navarro's book, months ago, so I probably subconsciously remembered something from it.

14 of 20.

If this was an ugly contest we might have a 20 way tie for first place.

9/20, I suck. Got bored and rushed it though.
Still, no live poker for me.

I'm not surprised that I was so bad at this (10/20). I knew I would suck
But I'm kind of surprised that SO many apparently are pretty good at it.

I thought almost all of them looked fake.
But I knew they wouldn't do that so I tried to pick out a few on the way that I thought COULD be genuine.

I got fooled by the 'come down' breath after the smile was through. So many of them looked like someone was saying, "Okay, I need you to smile now like you mean it" (pause) "okay, that's enough. You're done."

Ekman's micro-expression stuff is really valuable. I think it explains alot of the tells experienced players see live , but can't describe. When someone says "I just felt he was strong" or "I can't say why, but I knew she was bluffing", it may have been a brief micro-expression that they saw without fully registering it that was the giveaway.

18/20. I remember thinking on one of the ones I missed, that if I missed one, this would be it.

This also may explain why I do so much better at live poker.
