OP,

If you really like your collection, don't even bother deleting it. Just compress it all into .RAR archives with a password and an innocuous name. Oh and be sure to select "Encrypt file names" too. Then hide them somewhere.

Of course, you'll still want to clear all the histories and everything (Firefox, My Recent Documents, etc).

My computer-savvy ex-gf was convinced I had a massive porn collection on my laptop and routinely tried to find it, and I successfully kept it hidden for months this way.
