Wheeling is the biggest if I'm not mistaken, it's no surprise it passed and I think the Charles Town one was a coinflip. Wheeling will probably be pretty large.

[/ QUOTE ] The economy in Jefferson where Charles Town is located is much better than Ohio County. I don't know if Wheeling is the largest, and in fact I kind of doubt it. I've never been to Mountaineer, but my mother tells me it is more "destination" like than Wheeling Island. Regardless, Wheeling Island's plans are to have 62 tables, 20 of which are going to be devoted to Poker. Poker to be available by Labor Day, craps and other games by October. If and when Mountaineer gets there table games, they have plans on trying to run large scale poker tournaments from what I have read in the past few months on the issue. |

WTF? I didnt realize Wheeling was that far away. I live in Leesburg, so I guess there aren't any convenient options for me are there? Looks like I'll have to keep trekking it to AC.

Charles Town Casino makes more money than the others in the state currently, and was projected to bring in the most money for table games. It is closer to DC and Maryland. They had planned a 500 room hotel and another larger casino. I guess those plans are shelved. For those living in DC, Northern Virginia or myself in Charles Town, its still closer to drive to AC than the other casinos in West Virginia. With the current law it could come up for another vote in 2 years. If the state legislator changes the law (in some fashion) then it could be voted on again sooner, but that doesn't look likely.
