nt! i was just wondering if the places u guys were playing was at straddle? i've played the 2/5 nl day games couple of times as mentioned and never seen chips stack this big, but from you guys accts, it seems like it was an all night/over night session, and if it wasn't straddle, was it fairview? i've never been to fairview but i heard the action is quite insane there too thanks

gee i dunno, maybe it's because a bunch of other clubs in NYC have been closed down due to being too high-profile, and i want to have a place to play. not to mention getting raided sucks. but you probably wouldn't even know anything about it

i was in a poker club that got raided. it was in canada though. and it was only 2-5nl. The cops had real guns though (i think).

Because this thread got totally derailed -- and because I don't think there is really a wrong way to play OP's hand -- I have a question about the NY club everyone speaks about.

Am I right in thinking that, in NY, clubs can operate legally, as long as they don't rake?

I'm asking completely out of curiosity. They are mentioned in a lot of threads and I'm intrigued.
