Re: Cab Company Shake Down
Not to derail, but over a year ago I rented a U-Haul for moving. I recieved a traffic ticket that I did not pay and paid for the rental and everything. A year and one month later, I have now moved again and go back to check for mail at my old house to find U-Haul billed my for the ticket. What idiots, like they think I will pay if they can't get my some kind of bill within a years time.

I have started refusing payment of parking tickets, and it actually has worked very well recently. All you have to do is write a letter, when the debt collectors call you just say that you wrote a letter, they made a mistake, and you arent paying. Saved me a lot of money surprisingly. [/ QUOTE ] Won't they tow your car if you rack up too many tickets though? |

Re: Cab Company Shake Down
one thing I don't get here, is why exchange info if there's no damage to his car and it's your fault? maybe I'm a nit and know nothing about this stuff, but if he wants my info then we can call the cops and get some evidence, etc. otherwise, what's to prevent them from doing something like exactly what they've done here?

Re: Cab Company Shake Down
right, usually when there's no damage and you're not looking to get any type of authorities involved, you just part ways.

Re: Cab Company Shake Down
Wouldn't it be sort of difficult for the cab company to win any money in small claims court with no police report, no witnesses - zero evidence?

Re: Cab Company Shake Down
Thanks bro
Actually I think if some of these haters got the letter in the mail they would have paid the whole thing when threatened to be taken to court. I mean, it's worth $400 to me just not to have any sort of pending litigation in case I want to like, do anything... buy a house, get a job... etc, but it just felt raw |
