a good tag would realize that hero's range after the turn cr is pretty much flush AK KQ AA KK 66 99 and would obv not try to raise him off that. This is never a random and hopeless bluff especially in the 15 and v v few people make these plays in the 30 after a turn c/r.

You werent there long b4 being called for 30. My thought-process was the same as above, but Im not sure my read on this guy is solid enough to make this fold.

oh yeah 15/30 mm, don't remember the hand though, don't know the player but hes a 15/30 regular and I just don't think the "good" 15/30 tags make those kinds of moves or raise AK on the river.

but listen to the pbob

I think you played the hand fine. I prefer bet 3 betting the flop but whatever. I agree that you are beating almost nothing on the river. This looks a lot like TdTx here, so a fold is good but I hardly ever do unoless its someone I have a good read on. I think you took the strongest line possible in this hand so to have him raise you again on the river (unless you have a long history of folding to river raises for 1 bet) I agree with this fold.

Mitch,
There's a thread in sssh about river raises and how one pair is never good against them. I dunno how you folded here if you are running bad and unsure of yourself (I never fold in big pots when that's the case). Regardless this is a good laydown against vast majority of midstakes live opponents.

ps I'm with nate on the flop being a must-3-bet...its just so easy to collect bets that way and too iffy your way.

mitch, i wouldnt fold here - this is too much of a blind defense feeling hand... even when someone doesnt defend their blinds much i still dont give them credit for a hand as big as yours, and i expect you probably have a wider range for pushing back than most...

i think its possible villain has Tx9x, QdJx, KxTd - i think w/o the 4-bet preflop AK and TT are significantly less likely, but sometimes are there, i wouldnt fold the river in the HU pot - players get crazy when they think you are pushing back etc
