[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] i even like smaller than 5k. i kind of like 4650 here or something gay. 3-bets like that just throw a bunch of massive confusion into people [/ QUOTE ] What's your play if you put in a silly little raise like that, then he just calls you, and the turn comes bad (K or club). Alllllllin anyway? [/ QUOTE ] yep [/ QUOTE ] oh hell no ur shoving on a king of clubs? |

Alllllllin anyway? [/ QUOTE ] yep [/ QUOTE ] oh hell no ur shoving on a king of clubs? [/ QUOTE ] ok, maybe not exactly the king of clubs. if we raise to 4650, i'm merely trying to give him more room to induce a shove, i would never raise to less than 4500, let's say, it's merely logistics between say 4500 and 5500, aas in they all say "i like a small raise, one to give him more room to shove over the top and think we're occasionally b3b committing with a draw, or that we're b3b'ing small as a bluff" and after that i think the size of it is just semenatics. you realize we have 1/2 a psb left, right? maybe i would not shove on ONLY THE K of clubs, but i would still shove kings becuase of the time he's got a made hand weaker than a K (very rare) or a flush draw, and i would shove clubs because of the times he just called the turn with a K. i think the amount of times he flats there with a 1/2 psb left is quite rare, and we should be shoving many turns anyways. alternatively, i kind of like calling and leading blank turns here, now that i think about it... (although i usually HATE this line, i think it's good to balance vs a guy like this) |

If he really calls KQ and KJ, pushing can't be bad:
Board: Kh 6c 5c Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 59.345% 59.34% 00.00% 20563 0.00 { AhAs } Hand 1: 40.655% 40.66% 00.00% 14087 0.00 { 66-55, KJs+, 8c7c, 65s, 4c3c, KJo+ } Just thought I'd throw it out there that given the description, pushing can't be THAT bad. EDIT especially since he *might* bluffraise the 5k or so he'll have left, even though we'd get 3 to 1, but he might toss the kings. |

Just because he might call with KQ and KJ I dont understand why its a mandatory push on the flop, why not let any reasonable turn hit, get him more pot committed, and then shove? I really dislike a shove on the flop.

Pushing is bad. I like a raise to 5000. If you call and a club or king hits the turn and he was bluffing, then you may get bluffed out on the turn. [/ QUOTE ] not really in love with this line here. Id rather fold the winning hand once in a while, while maximizing my value versus his range, which likely involves just calling the flop CR and proceeding onto the turn. |

I like a litte raise as well. (more likley to get all the money in that way against a weaker hand)
Here i think it isnt good to give the initiative away since he is probalby balanced and he will continue fire in harmony. |
