Re: Beat: Lost
It was a great episode. My only complaint is that Charlie's dead and Juliette isn't.

Re: Beat: Lost
[ QUOTE ]
Funeral: -looked like an african-american neighborhood (at least that's what they seem to portray there). -the funeral director knew the dead person and claimed he was a "friend of the family" -Jack claims he was neither friend nor family -Kate was not interested in going to it and Jack was at least a little surprised by that. -this person obviously didn't really have any family or friends around (something could have happened to Walt in the meantime or it is possible Walt went back..this is really reaching) From all this, I conclude it is Michael. Michael was one of the only ones to get off the island using a boat. Jack feels Michael was his only way of knowing how to get back on the island. Kate would not have wanted to go to the funeral since Michael killed so many of them on the island. Locke probably would have stayed on the island and I am going to assume Jack killed Ben or at the very least Ben stayed behind (Ben would have known no one from outside the island). Jack would have probably referred to Locke as a friend. Jack would have probably referred to Sawyer as a friend also. [/ QUOTE ] Pretty sure this is correct. I paused it when Jack was looking at the obituary and it looks like the name started with an M. |

Re: Beat: Lost
ALTERNATE REALITIES.
Naomi was from a different reality, one where Penelope sent a rescue party to look for Malcolm. A Penelope in another universe transmitted to the Looking Glass. Remember how confused they were by Naomi's sat phone? Remember in season 2 or 3 when there was a discussion (I don't remember between who) about the candy bars? Someone said "Have you ever heard of a BLANK bar? This is probably why the Hanso group drops supplies that are in it's own packaging, so that it isn't confusing/disturbing to the research group. Let me try to be more concise: Naomi's friends rescue Jack and the others. They go home and Jack meets his live father. Holy [censored]!!!! How can this happen? Everybody realizes that they are not in the right place, but it's close enough so that almost everyone can make it work. Except Jack, who can't accept anything unless it's "right." Who's in the coffin? Probably Ben. I doubt Locke left the island. He wants to continue to walk and has been tasked by Jakob to work with him. I doubt it's Michael, because Walt would be at the funeral. I do like the idea of Jack finding Michael and getting him to go back to the island. There are a lot of problems with this however. Jack would have to be in a universe where, not only was Michael on the island to begin with, but in a universe where Michael escaped to. I may have to cancel work today to ponder this. |

Is Charlie the first to be killed off without having a DUI in Hawaii?

Re: Beat: Lost
Is he really off the show, or will he be back? IIRC, Naomi said that she heard he'd been on the plane, so he won't be in the new universe next season.
